ABOUT the instructor 

Bobby Williams is a Professional Firearms Instructor with over 30 years in the training & professional education industry. In 1987 he received his Bachelors of Science degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Tx and his Masters Degree in Education a year later. With over 20 years of various martial arts training and defensive edged-weapons techniques, students will also learn to defend themselves without the use of a firearm.  He holds three World, four National, one All-American Shooting Title and one World Speed Record.  Over the years Bobby has attended most of the top-level shooting academies around the country.  He also has numerous hours of instructor certifications in the Law-Enforcement community.  He teaches the shooting methods that are proven to work and have made him a world class/world champion competitive shooter.  Regardless of  experience level, from the new shooter to the elite military operator/Law Enforcement personnel, Bobby guarantees high-quality instruction that could SAVE your LIFE.

Basic Handgun Concepts

Gun ownership is on the rise and violent crime is on the decline. More and more people are relying on their personal firearms to keep themselves and their families safe. You may have always wanted a handgun but are overwhelmed when standing at the gun counter. This 2-hour class will start with firearms safety education and move into the shooting techniques and fundamentals. The instructor will educate new shooters on the many factors to consider when selecting the the right handgun and improve their overall proficiency with a firearm. At the conclusion of the class a novice shooter will be much more confident when selecting a firearm for purchase and going to the range.

Fee: $100

Equipment:

  • Personal firearms not necessary but are welcome

  • Ear and eye proctection

  • Collared shirt, long pants and a cap are recommended

  • Comfortable footwear

  • Small ice chest with water/sports drink

  • Positive mental attitude

Advanced Handgun Concepts

Designed to teach the student to be more skilled and confident with their handgun, this course will reinforce the safe use and operation of a pistol or revolver. Students will be introduced to drawing from a holster, shooting on the move, engaging multiple targets from a variety of shooting positions, and clearing malfunctions. Other topics that will be covered are various reloading techniques, marksmanship, combat mindset/situation awareness and how it applies to handgun use.

Fee:$250 for 8 hour course

Equipment:

  • Ear and eye protection

  • Handgun

  • 200-300 rounds of factory ammo (ammo count depends on shooter)

  • Holster

  • 2 extra magazines

  • Magazine holster

  • Rigid/sturdy belt

  • Collared shirt, long pants and cap

  • Comfortable footwear

  • Snacks and cold drinks

  • Bug spray (optional)

  • Positive mental attitude

TTT Advanced Tactical Handgun

Advanced Handgun Concepts and a CHL are prerequisites to take this course. Pistol marksmanship and comfortably drawing from a holster are essential skills at the start of this class. After a quick safety briefing, students will move quickly from drill to drill. Skills covered will be drawing from concealment, shooting & moving, rapid fire, clearing/searching urban dwellings and shooting in and around a vehicle. Semi-automatics are not a requirement but strongly encouraged.

Fee: $175 for 5 hour course

Equipment:

  • Ear and eye protection

  • Handgun (backup handgun recommended)

  • Holster

  • 300 - 400 rounds of factory ammo

  • 2 extra magazines

  • Magazine holster

  • Rigid/sturdy belt

  • Collared shirt, long pants and cap

  • Comfortable footwear

  • Snacks and cold drinks

  • Bug spray (optional)

  • Positive mental attitude

Basic Handgun Concepts course training is required as a prerequisite.or proof of prior formal training or USOSA/IDPA classification is acceptable to satisy prerequisite. Contact us for details.
